The Information Technology and Network Administration Certificate provide students with focused, firsthand training in networking, operating systems, and technical support. Coursework supports preparation for industry-recognized certifications, including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and related credentials that validate technical knowledge and enhance employability. 

Students must earn a grade of "C" or higher in all required CSCI and CYBS technology courses to progress within the program and graduate.

Graduates of the Information Technology and Network Administration certificate program will be able to:

  • Demonstrate foundational knowledge of information technology systems, networking concepts, operating systems, and server technologies.
  • Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, and network devices using industry-standard tools and practices.
  • Configure and support networking technologies including switching, routing, wireless systems, and network services.
  • Apply foundational cybersecurity principles and security best practices to support secure and reliable technology environments.
  • Analyze and resolve hardware, software, system, and connectivity issues using structured troubleshooting methods.
  • Demonstrate professional communication, customer service, critical thinking, and technical problem-solving skills appropriate for information technology environments.
  • Apply acquired knowledge toward industry certifications and continued academic progression into the Information Technology and Network Administration Associate of Science degree program.
