This course provides a comprehensive introduction to computer applications and digital literacy for today’s technology-driven workplace. This interdisciplinary course equips students with essential digital skills for success in business, healthcare, administrative environments, and beyond. Students will develop proficiency in Microsoft® Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) while exploring foundational computing concepts, cybersecurity, and the responsible use of emerging technologies such as generative artificial intelligence.

The course emphasizes the ability to manage and organize digital data, communicate securely and professionally, and apply technology effectively across real-world workflows. Through practical simulations, guided labs, and student-led demonstrations, learners build confidence and career-ready computing skills. This college-level course is designed to challenge students and prepare them for efficient, informed, and ethical use of technology in academic, professional, and personal settings.
